Catherine M Thompson, singer-songwriter, recording artist, performer and poet. Catherine’s recordings are arranged and produced by award-winning Chris Birkett – Catherine M Thompson Song Project: Celtic Cat (EP 2015), Cool Cat (EP 2017), Papa’s Photo holiday single (2018), and Wild Cat! (2021). She released three singles from Wild Cat in 2020: Only Lonely Me, New Orleans Moon, and She’s a Wild Cat! A Shot of Whiskey came out in 2021. Catherine is a multi-genre songwriter. Awards and accolades: On The Water (Celtic Cat) was a finalist in the International Acoustic Music Awards. Swing Daddy (Cool Cat) was a semi-finalist in the Canadian Songwriting Competition, and a finalist in the World Songwriting Competition for Best Jazz Song (Winter 2020). This year, A Shot of Whiskey (Wild Cat!) was a finalist for Best Rock Song in the World Songwriting Competition (Winter 2021). I Drive Away, the last track on Wild Cat! was a finalist in the World Songwriting Competition (Winter 2022) for Best Outlaw Song - how cool is that!? Her poetry appears in Verse Afire and TOPS anthologies. Like Winnie the Pooh, a little hum may become a poem or a song, or both. Art is life!
